Everything begins with a circle — a primordial shape, the point of origin of an organic visual language…

Immediately, this point extends into sinuosity. Lines twist, curve, and evolve, gradually giving rise to forms that transform. Sometimes abstract, sometimes figurative: characters, objects, silhouettes, as if they slowly emerge from the line itself.

Each work I create is born from a simple, almost childlike gesture, where shapes come together and elements interlock like pieces of a childhood construction set. A minimalist universe where every line and every empty space matters.

My artistic work is a perpetual quest to reconnect with the creative freedom of early years. It is a constant exploration between the spontaneity of the gesture and the rigor of construction. My artistic gesture channels me, calms me, and offers an infinite playground where imagination reigns supreme. I lose myself in the line and find myself in the form. It is an exploration, an inner journey, where a vibrant dialogue develops between myself and my creation as I draw. It is a dialogue between free form and the balance I seek.

I develop a graphic practice centered on the moment, the gesture, and the simplicity of means. Paper and black pen lie at the heart of my process. Their accessibility allows me to draw anywhere, at any time. I love the feeling of the pen gliding over the paper — a continuous flow, fluidity conducive to improvisation. Returning to elementary tools evokes, for me, the original joy of drawing, that pure, instinctive pleasure that connects me to the spirit of childhood.

As I draw, I sometimes feel that a shape will find its full expression only within a larger composition. Gradually, the intuition of an assemblage imposes itself, stronger than that of an isolated work. Once outlined, these shapes become movable elements that I rotate, slide, and make interact. I then seek balance, fluidity in the patterns, a rhythm that resonates with my sensitivity in the moment. The final image emerges from this exploration, from this silent dialogue between the elements and my gaze, guided as much by improvisation as by the search for harmony.

Some of my drawings find balance solely in black-and-white contrast. Others are later enriched with color in a phase that is both intuitive and thoughtful. I pursue balance, contrast, and vibration. I favor bright, joyful, almost sparkling hues, composing vibrant images where each color becomes a note in a visual symphony. Sometimes, when black and white dominate, I introduce touches of color to enhance certain elements, reveal a form, or create a contrast that amplifies graphic richness. Each element is illuminated to better shine.

On canvas, my approach begins with a colored background, whose composition influences the rest of the work. Then, as on paper, I draw a circle: it marks the starting point of a new graphic narrative.

Each creation is an invitation to explore a universe where the simplicity of forms meets the complexity of emotions. Through my works, I seek to convey the joy of mysterious and abundant worlds, universes where imagination knows no limits. Each line, each curve is an invitation to discover inner landscapes, hidden stories, and buried emotions.

I invite you to dive into this universe, where creative freedom reigns supreme, and where each work is a window into unexplored worlds. WilR’s world invites you into a realm of curves, where elements converse and harmonize. The shimmering colors infuse freshness and dynamism, a vibrant echo of the magic of childhood.
